The salmon industry encompasses the whole of Tasmania from east to west, north to south. Industry facilities include freshwater hatcheries, marine leases and processing facilities. The industry operates within strict environmental limits, guided by independent science, regulatory oversight, and continuous reporting to ensure long-term sustainability of Tasmania’s marine ecosystems.
